What We Learned at Obesity Week 2015

Last month, the MDnetSolutions team traveled to Los Angeles, CA for ObesityWeek 2015 — one of the largest international events focused on treating and preventing obesity with science, clinical applications, and surgical intervention. This conference is presented by both the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and The Obesity Society (TOS) and hosts experts from around the world in fields ranging from science and technology, to health care and pharmaceuticals.

MDnetSolutions is proud to be a long-time supporter of ObesityWeek and the team was very excited to exhibit the MDPathways platform . Below, five of the team members who attended the conference share what they learned and they’re most looking forward to at ObesityWeek 2016:

For many years now, MDnet has happily joined many surgeons, program leaders and clinicians of all types at the ObesityWeek annual trade show. This past show has been our most productive and educational! Throughout the event, prospective client hospitals and providers came to the MDnet exhibit area to learn about the use of MD Pathways and the many other services our company can provide that leads to the growth in program volume, improved efficiency and better outcomes.

We learned from those we visited that there is increasing demand for weight loss treatment options and that, despite payment models becoming more available, challenges remain at keeping potential bariatric patients engaged in their steps of care. What was consistently communicated in response to a showcase demonstration of MDPathways was that MDnet understands and can help support the bariatric patient’s episode of care.

The proof of MDPathways’ return on investment is evident to the hundreds of clients we serve. We heard loud and clear that MDnet’s innovation remains a key reason for providers to hire us.

ObesityWeek was a fantastic success. We had more traffic and demo requests than any year prior, and it’s obvious why. MDPathways, formerly known as LeadTracker, is highly sought-after given its predecessor’s success with driving qualified leads and surgical conversions. With its successful past of growing bariatric programs for many notable hospital programs across the country, combined with new features like EMR integration and automated texting, emailing, and phone calls, it’s obvious why so many programs and providers are interested in exploring how it can help grow their program.

ObesityWeek provided us a tremendous opportunity to network with clients and prospective programs; learn about the latest trends in the industry; share experiences with program leaders and showcase the value of our solutions throughout the entire event. Specifically, MDPathways continues to impress industry professionals and stand alone as a leading solution for bariatric programs to drive qualified leads and surgical conversions.

With the addition of functionality like automated patient communication, capability to streamline information from the online seminars and the patient intake capture process, and integration with EHR’s, the features of MDPathways all work together to reinforce MDnet as an industry leader.

My first ObesityWeek was fantastic! It was an amazing opportunity to meet with current prospects, and continue to build my pipeline. It was encouraging to receive so much positive feedback about MDPathways, as well as our solutions for lead generation.

As we continue to refine our message to programs, and narrow our focus I believe we will continue to see success. The market has very few players that can offer what we can for struggling bariatric programs. I look forward to ObesityWeek 2016.

This was the first time I have attended ObesityWeek and I was impressed by the turnout. I was given the opportunity to not only personally meet with prospects I’ve called on for the last couple months but also the opportunity to engage with physicians, thought leaders and other vendors in the industry to learn more about common challenges and forthcoming trends.

MDnet continues to “wow” the industry with their ability to provide an all in one suite of solutions for all of its challenges. I look forward to see the continued growth of MDPathways within bariatrics and can’t wait to see what ObesityWeek 2016 has in store for us.
